4 Make-Up Free Essentials

-post contains PR samples-

These days I go makeup free for about 70% of the week and I can’t say that was ever something I imagined myself doing. Applying my most loved products is something that I absolutely adore doing and savour the time that I get to do it. But going makeup-free makes me just as happy these days. Feeling happy and free in my skin is a feeling that I never thought I’d be able to have but now I am I'm making the most of it. All that being said going makeup-free doesn’t mean skipping out on my beauty routine completely and these are my most loved products to apply when I’m foregoing makeup.

The Best Things I've Been Influenced To Buy

Before I was a blogger I was an avid blog reader and religiously followed the recommendations of my favourite online humans. And I’d say 90% of the recommendations that I got then quickly became my most loved products but there were obviously some things that just didn’t work out for me but that’s to be expected (as much as it pained me), different strokes for different folks and all that. The word influencer has become a dirty word over the past few years and people now tend to hate when ‘influencers’ share something they love as it’s now presumed that there is a hidden agenda and spreading the word about something you love isn’t as easy as it once was. But, I know that without people sharing their most used and loved possessions then there are so many things that I might not have come across and these are some of the best things that I’ve been influenced to purchase over the years.

Why Doing Something That Terrifies You Is So Worth It | AD

-paid partnership with Go Ape-

Sherwood Forest is a place that I’ve visited and walked in hundreds of times throughout my life as it’s a destination that I could walk to from my dad’s house and now it’s somewhere that we regularly frequent with Josie & Edie. There is one part of the forest that I never thought I’d be in and that is the Go Ape site, I’d always gazed up at people completing the course and it always looked like they were having an awesome time but it had always been a ‘no, not for me’ kinda thing.

Your Weekend Reading, Watch & Listen List #9

Happy Friday and happy summer too, we’re officially now in the warm season so all we can hope is that the weather gets the memo and does what it’s meant to do rather than another few weeks of rain. Seriously, I’m not sure my brain can handle any more rain. The only thing the bad weather has been good for though is my research when it comes to these posts as there hasn’t been much else to do but go through my Bloglovin feed and Netflix. And here is everything that I’ve been reading, watching and listening to lately for you to hopefully enjoy too.

6 Beauty Routines I'm Trying To Get Into The Habit Of

Once upon a time, I had a seriously great beauty routine and then life got in the way and I quickly became lazy and developed some bad habits. Habits that I’m sure we can all relate to but I’m currently trying to make myself some awesome new routines and kick those bad habits to the back of the bathroom cupboard.

Let's Talk: Feeling A Little Lost & Seriously Uninspired

During the June monsoon (my nickname for the last 10 days of horrific weather) my mental health very quickly plummeted. It probably wasn’t entirely the weather's fault but it certainly didn’t help matters for me and a lot of feelings came bubbling to the surface. Feeling uninspired is something that I hate, I’m so incredibly fortunate to have a creative job that so many people would absolutely love to have so when I’m not making the most of it then I feel like a terrible human.

My Style Essentials For A Typical British Summer

Just in case you’ve missed every single person in the UK moaning about the weather let me tell you that it’s been absolutely foul lately. I don’t think I’ve ever known rain as heavy or as often as we’ve had in the past couple of weeks. It’s rained every single day, often all day and to say it’s put a dampener on my enthusiasm for summer is an understatement. I’d tucked away all my coats and knitwear in favour for summer dresses and sandals but sadly there’s been absolutely no way I’ve been able to put those on so I’ve been turning to style essentials for a typical British summer instead.

3 Years Of Vegetarianism

June marks 3 years since I made the choice to cut meat from my diet and I can safely say that it’s the best decision that I’ve ever made. Diet isn’t something that I talk about a lot as it’s something that is so incredibly personal and what works for one certainly doesn’t work for all and we all know that preaching about an animal-free diet doesn’t inspire anyone to make a change. All that being said though, today I wanted to share what 3 years of vegetarianism has looked like for me.

The Best Houseplants For Beginners

Houseplants are seriously popular at the moment and it’s wonderful. Having greenery in your home is unbelievably good for our living environments and I think it’s really fun to have something that you need to tend to and subsequently get to see thrive.
