My Golden Rules For Working From Home
Despite working from home for almost 6 years I often still feel like I’m finding my feet with it all from scratch. My life has changed so much over the years and naturally, it’s affected my workdays but there are some golden rules that I now try and stick to and if I go off track I notice a big difference in my productivity levels and also how I feel about work in general. When you’re your own boss you have to have to be strict with yourself there is no denying that and learning that kind of self discipline by itself can be so difficult but these are the things that help me stay on track.

Your Weekend Reading, Watch & Listen List #12
I hope you’ve all had a good first week of September? I’m such a summer lover but I can’t deny that I’m a little excited for the cooler weather, for the leaves to turn a vibrant shade of red and to not have to worry about walking my dogs. September is one of my favourite months for a couple of reasons; it signifies a fresh start and all the good tv shows come back on tv and this is everything that I've been enjoying lately on tv and online.

The Best Of My Beauty Stash Right Now
-this post contains PR samples-
I’ve finally got out of my rut with beauty, hooray! I hadn’t switched things up in a little while and as much as I’m a creature of habit sometimes it’s good to have a change of scenery and these are all the beauty products that I’m digging right now.

My Most Loved Houseplants & Planters At The Moment
After renovating our lounge I decided it was finally time to pick up some new houseplants. Before we sorted the room out it was very cluttered and there wasn’t much room for anything else but now we’ve got rid of the majority of things and cleared some space it was time to introduce some more greenery to the space as nothing makes me happier than a room filled with different plants. As well as my new additions there has been one plant that's finally come into its own after a near-death experience earlier in the year and these are the details on all of them as well as some very lovely planters that don’t cost a small fortune.

A Fresh Start For September
Happy September! And apologies for being a little bit quiet over on this part of the internet, I wanted to take a small break before summer came to an end to regroup and find my focus again. I don’t know about anybody else but August is always a difficult month for me, I think all those years in the traditional school system are permanently etched on my body clock and I slow down a lot as the summer haze takes over. That being said it means that September always signifies a fresh start for me and this is what I’m changing up for the last quarter of the year.

What I Want To Achieve In The Rest Of 2019
We’re past the midway point of the year when it would have made the most sense to write this post but it doesn’t feel too late to talk about what I want to achieve with the rest of 2019. Something I’ve done differently this year is set myself more fine-tuned monthly goals rather than having huge things to work on throughout the year. But, there are some things that I feel like I’m constantly working towards and want to achieve by the end of the year and they look a little something like this.

A Love Letter To Sundays
I’m not sure what it is about Sundays but they’re my all-time favourite day of the week, Monday is a close second but there is something about Sundays that make my heart so happy and it's been that way since I was a child. Especially really early on a Sunday morning as the world feels so quiet and peaceful. And weirdly, it’s always my most productive day too and this is everything I love to do on a Sunday.

My Most Loved Stationery Right Now
-post contains gifted items-
It’s been a while since I’ve spoken about one of the biggest loves in my materialistic life…stationery. A few years ago I was a little obsessed by picking up different journals and to-do list pads but then I found myself too scared to use them as they were just so pretty so I put myself on a spending ban and forced myself to use up what I had. But now I’ve been able to work in a few new paper products into my life and here are the details on my current stationery favourites right now.

Our Lounge Renovation: Before & After
We’re about 85% done with our lounge renovations, we’ve still got some finishing touches to do but we’re pretty much at the end of our to-do list and I can’t believe how much of a difference it’s made to the entire house. It’s a room that we’d put off doing anything to as we felt a little lost with what we wanted to achieve. So we took everything back to basics and the finished result is exactly what I wanted for this space as we’re pretty limited to what we can do with the area but I think the things we have done have had a huge impact and they look a little something like this...
