Hyped Up Skincare That Really Delivers Results

Skincare is without a doubt one of my favourite things to write about and in a lot of ways, I prefer it to makeup as the effects of a good skincare product last far longer than any makeup item which you remove at the end of each day. Skincare is of course very subjective and personal as no two people are ever going to have the same reaction to the same product and it's all about what works for you. But here are some of the seriously hyped up skincare products in the beauty world that have really delivered the results I expected.

MICELLAR WATER

Back in 2012 possibly one of the most hyped up skincare products out there was micellar water. And it all began with Bioderma which was horribly expensive and was something that you could only get on eBay. And before I start to discuss the wonder of this product I want to say that I don't think that these waters should be used in replacement of a cleanser. And personally, I don't think cleansing your face counts until your physically washing your face. But these waters are absolutely amazing for getting rid of that first layer of makeup as well as giving your skin a quick refresh after exercise. There are so many awesome budget options on the market now so you don't have to pay a lot and they're such an awesome product to have in your beauty stash.

LA ROCHE POSAY EFFACLAR DUO

There was once a time where this was probably one of the most talked about skin care items in the blogging world. And the things that people were saying about it was pretty incredible and it was a product that had so much hype around it that it was hard not to ignore the claims. During that time there was a lot of confusion about what Effaclar Duo is and it's not a spot treatment which so many people confused it for. It's a corrective and unclogging treatment which is something that I've always used all over the face and it worked so well at completely changing condition and texture of my skin as well as keeping on top of blemishes. It's a definite marmite skincare product as it either works amazingly well for you or it doesn't work at all and sadly it's just trial and error process to find out.

LIZ EARLE CLEANSE & POLISH

I'm sure we've all heard of Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish at some point as it's got a huge cult status not only in the blogging world but in the beauty industry too. As it was the first real cleanser I ever used and noticed a difference from so it will always have a special place in my heart regardless if I feel the same way about it now. But it's such a beautiful product and it's in a lot of ways so simple and without fail it just works well on my skin and it's still something I use now 5 years later as it's just so good. In the skincare world as I know it now and the prices that I see on a daily basis I would consider Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish a more affordable option that delivers in quality as there are some brands that are incredibly expensive and out of reach for so many of us.

OSKIA RENAISSANCE CLEANSING GEL

As well as the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish another seriously hyped up cleanser in the blogging world is the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. Which is a product that's name doesn't do it any justice at all as it's not really a gel and I think that's something that can so easily put people off from using it. It's a beautiful jelly initially that melts into an oil and it feels incredible on the skin and the pumpkin enzymes in the ingredients help to naturally brighten up the complexion. Much like the LE, it's a cleanser that I know I can always count on no matter what the condition of my skin and it removes any makeup remnants with ease.

PIXI GLOW TONIC

Exfoliating toners, in general, have always been hyped up in the blogging world but in particular Pixi Glow Tonic has always been a popular product. Personally, I prefer the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator as it's just a little softer on the skin but the Pixi is better for the amount you get for the money you pay. I rely on an acid exfoliant to keep on top of blemishes, scarring as well as general radiance and the 5% glycolic acid that the Pixi Glow Tonic contains is perfect on my skin on a daily basis for dealing with these issues. An exfoliating toner is something that I'd say anybody no matter how resilient their skin is to work gradually into their routine so your skin can get used to it otherwise, it could be a little too harsh on your complexion and have adverse effects.
