The Shopping Diaries: June & July
I wrote my first instalment of the shopping diaries back in May time and it seemed to go down really well so I thought I’d share another as I’ve made a few purchases over the last couple of months. I’ve never been one to share hauls as sometimes sharing things for sharings sake can feel a little pointless for me. But, what I love about these posts is that I can explain a little more about the purchases that I’ve been making as well as a few thoughts on the item themselves just incase they're also something you're interested in.

The Areas Of My Life Where I'm Trying To Be More Sustainable
There are parts my lives I feel I’m doing really well in terms of sustainability but there are others where I’m falling behind a little. I know there is a huge buzz around being eco-friendly at the moment (which is great as it's incredibly important) but it can lead to people not feeling like they’re doing enough or perfect but I’m not sure that is something that exists when it comes to being kinder to our planet. Despite what some might say small changes do make a big difference and if all make the small changes that are feasible to us then that’s when big changes will happen and these are all the areas that I’m trying to make a change with right now.

Why It's So Important To Protect Your Mental Health Online
When I began my blogging journey 8 years ago I never imagined that it would have a negative effect on my mental health. It was such a positive and joyous place to share my thoughts on whatever I was loving at the time and it’s not until recent years have I realised how important it is to protect your mental health online whether you’re a content creator or someone who consumes online content. You can’t move for posts and articles all about how the online world is so damaging for our self-esteem but what those posts always forget to mention is how much good the internet can do for people. I know there are certainly things that I struggle with but there are plenty more that I have to be grateful for and this is how I protect my mental health online.

Your Weekend Reading, Watch & Listen List #10
last time I wrote one of these posts we were having torrential rain every single day in the UK and now when I’m writing this it’s a nice 22 degrees, you know us Brits can’t help ourselves but discuss the weather at any chance we can. And even though the constant rain certainly put a dampener on my mood something it has been amazing for is all the wildflowers. I’ve never known dog walks to be so luscious and green as they are right now. I’ll spare you any more weather chat and here is what I’ve been watching, reading and listening to in the past couple of weeks.

My Most Loved Gym Essentials Right Now
-this post contains PR samples-
I’ve been a regular gym frequenter for a few months now after taking a couple of years break and I’ve finally fallen back into a good routine with it. I’m quite particular with what I use and wear to the gym and I’m always so interested in what other people use to make their workouts even better as it’s something that is so personal. As of right now, my main focus is on running and light weights so it’s nothing too out there and this is what works for me and my workouts.

The Best Nail Polishes To Wear This Summer
-this post contains PR samples-
Having a freshly done manicure is something that makes me feel ready to take on the world. It doesn’t matter if I don’t have a scrap of makeup on and my hair resembles a birds nest, as long as I’ve got that manicure I instantly feel more put together and polished. Ever since I was a teenager I’ve always got so much joy from painting on different colours and it’s no different now I’m the grand old age of twenty-nine. There is some real stand out shades in my collection at the moment and these are the details on them.

A July To-Do List
Happy July! The month has begun with the most beautiful weather and after June being the rainiest month ever it's been very welcome, I feel so much better for the boost of Vitamin D. I’ve not got any wild plans this month so far, I know some people have crazy busy summers but for me it’s the time of year where things really slow down and there is a little bit of extra room in my schedule for an evening dog walk which finishes my day off so perfectly. And even though I don’t have any wild plans there are plenty of things on my to-do list for July and they look a little something like this...

5 Books I've Read So Far This Year
Reading is one of my favourite things to do but making the time for it is something I struggle with quite a lot, especially when I’ve got a seriously wound up and anxious mind. I’ve tried to go for the slow and steady approach this year and not get into the silly habit of comparing myself to those people on Instagram who seem to get through a book every other day as there is absolutely no way I can keep up with that. So here are all the details on all the books that I have completed this year as well as a look at what I’m currently reading.

Style Investments I Want To Make In 2019
Investing in different style pieces has become something that I absolutely love doing. And for me, when it comes to buying something that’s fairly expensive I always like to make a list as not only do I find this helps me when it comes to spending money. But, it also helps me make sure that it’s going to be something that I really get good use out of and it’s not a flippant purchase as those are typically the items that I always end up regretting and there is nothing worse than knowing you’ve bought something you’re not going to get the most out of. So far this year I’ve not invested in much style wise as the I find the investment purchases I want to make tend to be more suited towards the colder weather and even though the sun has only just come out A/W is going to roll around quickly enough and this is what I want to invest in.
